record office (archives) please ? I could do with the baptisam records for James Lock born abt 1841 Menheniot, Liskeard. Thank's Gill PS, I live in Staffordshire, or I would do it myself. |

There are a lot of Cornish census free online. http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/Cornwall/Menheniot/index.html Specific census information for this parish is available as follows: 1841. The 1841 Census of Menheniot (HO107/133), Enumeration Districts 7 to 9, is available on-line from the Cornwall Online Census project. The 1841 census for this parish has been filmed by the LDS church - film No. 241258. 1851. The 1851 Census of Menheniot (HO107/1902), Enumeration Districts 1a to 1c, is available on-line from the Cornwall Online Census project. Ray Woodbine has compiled the 1851 Census for many Cornish parishes. Entries for Menheniot are contained in Volume 2-1. This is available in the Library of the Cornwall Family History Society from which it can be purchased. 1861. The 1861 Census of Menheniot (RG9/1528), is available on-line from the Cornwall Online Census project as follows: Enumeration Districts 1 and 2. Enumeration District 3. 1871. Thankyou Maid Marion, I do have them on census through to 1901, at some point between 1851-1861 the family moved to Woolwich, London. It's just i was foolish enough to give all the records to my MIL who has since died and yes I didn't save any copies,they are her mothers family. So now i have to start again, serves me right. Gill |

Thankyou Maid Marion. Yes she was a dear Lady sadley missed,she was going to give me the records back, that's why i didn't make copies. They are probably hiding with some family member some where.lol The census was easy to replace, but it's the rest that is'ant. I will check what you sugest. Best wishes Gill |
