This is the only reference I can find to the family, son Samuel was born is illinois. 1850 United States Federal Census about Samuel Waters Name: Samuel Waters Age: 3 Estimated birth year: abt 1847 Birth Place: Illinois Gender: Male Home in 1850 (City,County,State): East and West Galena, Jo Daviess, Illinois 1850 United States Federal Census about Samuel Waters Name: Samuel Waters Age: 27 Estimated birth year: abt 1823 Birth Place: England Gender: Male Home in 1850 (City,County,State): East and West Galena, Jo Daviess, Illinois 1850 United States Federal Census about Elizabeth Waters Name: Elizabeth Waters Age: 25 Estimated birth year: abt 1825 Birth Place: England Gender: Female Home in 1850 (City,County,State): East and West Galena, Jo Daviess, Illinois

Thanks OC. I have information from cornwall stating Samuel had been left a legacy in a will. There is nothing I can find which shows which ship thet left on.

Have you tried it the other way round? I mean, there may be records in Cornwall, stating how and why they left England. OC

Between !845-1847 Samuel Waters born 11 August 1822 and his wife Elizabeth born 25 December 1824 went from Cornwall to Illinois America. Can anyone help with a date and a ship? Thanks
