There is a list of abbreviations somewhere on here. If only GR would listen and have 'stickies' at the top of the board.

Lin the LDS is the Latter Day Saints (mormons) who have produced the familysearch site. FHC is Family History Centres, you can google for ones local to you. Georgina.

Can one of the kind veterans of genealogy please post a list of the full names of the various bodies for us less informed mortals please. The times I read get in touch with LDS or FHC etc. and I haven't a clue who they are. If it's not asking too much the website address of them would also be a boon. Thanks in advance. Lin
