There is a list of abbreviations somewhere on here. If only GR would listen and have 'stickies' at the top of the board. |

Lin the LDS is the Latter Day Saints (mormons) who have produced the familysearch site. FHC is Family History Centres, you can google for ones local to you. Georgina. |

Can one of the kind veterans of genealogy please post a list of the full names of the various bodies for us less informed mortals please. The times I read get in touch with LDS or FHC etc. and I haven't a clue who they are. If it's not asking too much the website address of them would also be a boon. Thanks in advance. Lin |
