I've trawled through the BMDs for my uncles and couldn't find them. I knew they (twins) had to be there somewhere and they were. I found that the mother's maiden name was not the mother's maiden name at all but their grandmother's maiden name. Can only imagine that having twins must have been doubly draining mentally! Another uncle has my grandmother's maiden name spelt incorrectly. Also same old problem of child being known by middle name rather than registered first name caused me extra umpteen hours for one of the twins.
