I have been searching for the stokes family.I couldn't find a death for my mums dad.The tale was he was in an accident at the local fair and was sitting on the back of the lorry one minute and then under the wheels of a caravan the next. Talking to a friend last night she said you know where he is buried don't you? Which i do.So phone the cemetery then. I wasn't going to as i thought i'd need his date of death, wrong! In a little office at the council offices is a lady who helped me greatly.......I now know the year of death, where he is buried and who was the grant owner.I have also found out my great grandparents are buried there as well,a man is going to mark out the graves so as i can see them tomorrow............Brilliant..... Congrats, I think finding the graves of my 2X GGrandparents was a real feeling of being connected to them. The fact that they were so close to where I live was quite unexpected and somewhat emotional. |
