I started to look for my paternal 2xgreat grandparents. The only info I had was his name on his sons marriage cert. Needle in a haystack as the name is soooo common. Using Ancestry and Familysearch I came up with several possibles, was I going to have to stick a pin in them and hopefully, come up with the right one???? Then the maiden name of one of the brides caught my eye. I rummaged about in my certificate file for the marriage cert of my great grandmother, Mary Mawdsley to her first husband, then the cert to her second husband......the two witnesses on both certs were the same, Richard and Hannah Bibby, and....the maiden name of 2x great grandmother was.....Bibby. I took it a stage further looking for the identity of Hannah......and this is where my headache starts....Hannah has the same surname as Mary Mawdsleys` mothers maiden name. Got it???? I am going to use loads of paper sorting this one out I can see. wish me luck. Kathlyn
