I have the marriage date of Robert Roberts and Jemima Bibby which is 1835. They had a son, John born abt 1843, but I am unable to find anything on the 1851 census. They were married in Liverpool, so assume that is the area they would have been living in in 1851. I would appreciate some pointers as what I am not doing or what I should be doing. Kathlyn

There are more. I would have thought that Robert Roberts would be reasonably unusual. Almost every quarter from 1848-9 - 1852 ish there is at least one Mary if not more. Could take a bit of unravelling but a definite possibility. Suggest birth cert of one of the youngest children - that will give mother's maiden name - occupation and details of father might be similar enough to reconcile? Jill

what was Robert Roberts occupation and what was John Roberts' occupation. This may help when looking on earlier and later census records.
