I know it is nice to be able to find other members of your family so I exchanged details of my Family Tree (WORMAN) that I built with a member for details of Shearing Family Tree as my GGGGrandmother was Sophia Shearing. Now I notice that the details of WORMAN in Leiston, Kingston in Surrey & South Africa is appearing on Genes Reunited as their tree. They did not have any details before the exchange and would never have known about the family unless they were a direct Lineage of the JOHN WORMAN from Leiston, Kingston in Surrey & South Africa. I cannot see how a member can do that to another member. I was also wondering if that has happed to any other members when they exchanged details of their Family Tree that they built. |

If you opened your tree to them, there really isnt anything you can do about it - except to demand they remove living persons. |

Oh Esmerelda, Did you open your tree to this person? And did they ask you if they could copy all your stuff? And did you say Yes! or did it not occur to you that people do this. They copy all your info add it to their tree and then publish it on Ancestry...... IIt is now too late. It is there.... but be warned if you do not want your tree on public view do not open it to anyone.M Ps I have people from Leiston, Kingston .... and the Boer war.!! Not Worman's though |
