Also be wary of son-in-law & daughter-in-law. This often means children of spouse from previous relationship. Jay |

Hi Jane, Yes I found that out a bit late lol. It was when I was lucky enough to find my Great Great Grandads will and when I got it found that he had left his money to my Great Great Gran in what I thought was her maiden name but was in fact her first married name,....no wonder I couldn' t find a marriage for them. Got there in the end. Linda |

On 1881 census George is very clearly listed as brother in law of the head of the house Henry..........after about 2 years of research I have discovered he is his half brother..........Great Great Gran had three children with her husband and then 4 more with my Great Great Grandad whom she never married........It's taken me ages to work it all out........Linda |
