My G.Grandfather was an hotelier in two or three hotels, one of which, I'm told was the Union Hotel renamed the Royal Hotel (or vise versa, located in Tweedmouth. I've visited the region and the only building which looks as though it may have been an hotel is currently a nursing home. I'd like to take photographs of the correct building when I'm next in the area, that's if it's still standing, so I'd appreciate any suggestions as to how best to achieve a result

Contact the Council planning dept.........if the nursing home was previously an hotel, there would have had to be an application for change of use. Reg

Or go into the local library and look for a street directory of the time. OC
