Marriage certificate question.

If they ask for it back make sure you take a copy of it. Its probably got the signatures of the individuals concerned on it.

Yes, I would contact them and ask for another certificate to be sent out. They will probably want you to send back the one you have received. It is probably just someone who has just typed out a Bethnal Green certificate and wasn't thinking when they typed out yours. Kath. x

I have just received a copy of a marriage cert and thankfully it is the right person. It is a photocopy of the original entry so that bit is fine. The only problem is the marriage took place in the parish of Sparkbrook Birmingham and the person who has typed the bottom bit ' Certified to be a true copy of a register of Marriage in the Registration District Of Bethnal Green. and not Warwickshire. Should I phone the GRO and ask them to check the details and send me a new amended cert? The one I've got can't be right can it? Jane
