Thanks O.C., will give it a try - I'll try anything! - but not this evening, my head is spinning. Thanks, M. Steer |

Margaret This happens to me sometimes (only on GR!). The way round it, I have found, is to do your first copy. Then close the thread, and then open it again and do the next one. Really tedious! OC |

Thanks all. Whichever way I try, it doesn't work. I can Copy & Paste the first extract without any problem, it's when I come to the second that everything goes wrong. Perhaps I should Copy them all (individually to a Word document or something) and then add them as an attachment. Better still, perhaps I should go back to Pen & Paper?! M. Steer |

Try using the copy command instead which is Ctrl +C Highlight your text and then depress the above two keys together - that acts as the copy command. You can also do a paste command by pressing these keys together Ctrl +V. Cheers, Horatia See if that helps. Other than that perhaps you need a new mouse? |

Horatio, tried it - it won't work! I was able to Copy the first extract and put it in my e-mail but when I attempted the second I couldn't even Copy it. M. Steer |

Thanks Horatio, I'll try that. In 'normal' life I am a very methodical/logical person - but computers 'do something' to me. M. Steer |

Margaret, Copy one bit of text and then paste it into your email or wherever you want to put it. Then go back and copy the next section and paste that in your email - that way it should work and follow a logical order. Cheers, Horatia |

Horatio, I don't think my Mouse is very well! Let's just say that I have four replies to a Thread - there is some text in each one that I want to Copy & Paste to send in an e-mail. The first piece of text, I highlighted, left clicked on Mouse - drop down menu appeared - I clicked on Copy. O.K., so far. I moved onto the next, highlighted again - left clicked Mouse a completely different menu appeared (no mention of Copy). So I thought perhaps I need to highlight all text first and then Copy but that doesn't work either. Does any of this make sense? M. Steer |

Tell us how you are doing copy and paste because it works for me. Perhaps you have a problem with copy and paste technique? I and others will be happy to help if so. Cheers, Horatia |

I've only recently got the hang of Copy & Paste, so please make allowances. I've had a Thread going with several replies, I want to extract text from more than one of the replies and forward it via e-mail. I thought I should Copy & Paste each individual extract separately but it doesn't work. Should I Copy everything 'in one go' and then Paste? If so, will it make sense when the recipient reads it? M. Steer. |
