Read all of the 13 Commandments Clive, I think ours are a lot funnier than the originals and all true as well!

HPT That's the one - thanks a lot. Clive PS don't let on to OC but there is even more ammunition for her line about the kids going overseas on those links on the missing kids. I just wish more people realised just how bad life was here. Clive (for the 2nd time)

There you go Clive, the 13 Commandments - we had a lot of fun with that one! Interesting info by the way!

I have extended the information on http://www.clive-buckle(.)co.uk/pieces.htm but have also added to the site links to numerous sites to help search for children sent to 'the colonies' in the period roughly 1860 to 1975. Some of the links themselves give links to loads more information about this disgraceful practice. To make the site more interesting I would like to add those very, very funny words of wisdom about how to confuse future genealogists. It was a thread on here (Tips) or General. (You know the one I mean 'Name all you children the same as your siblings. Ensure all your siblings do the same. Ensure the children of all the familes continue this tradition.' Can anybody tell me please? Clive
