There have been a few issues with deleting contacts and messages. Normally when you delete a contact is should only re-appear if you or the other person re-establish contact. For some reason due to a blip in a system, something as yet unknown is causing contacts to be re-established. The following workaround might work. 1. Remove access to your tree, if necessary 2. Delete individual messages 3. Delete Contact.

Nic Any messages you sent will not be deleted at the other end. Your message will still be in their inbox and you will be still in their contact list even if you have deleted them as a contact from your end. Hope that makes sense. Chris

I have sent several messages to people and allowed them to share my tree, asking them to check it for matches. My message outbox and shared tree list needs thinning down now. i need to know if any sent messages that have not yet been read would delete from the other persons inbox if i deleted them at my end. if the envelope is showing still closed do i assume they are still unread? I am in the process of deleting any messages where there has been no relation- and stopping them from viewing my tree, but im worried about deleting messages to potential relatives before they have had chance to read them. Hope this makes sense!! Thanks, Nic x
