Hi Rachel, Scotlands People website have BMD to view image. It costs £6 for 30 credits after you register your details and credit/debit card etc. What years are you searching.? Betty

Hello, I have found William McLachlan on the 1901 England census; his parents being Thomas (born Scotland) and Mary (born Liverpool). I see that the oldest child (Mary) was born in Scotland c1889. I think that Thomas and Mary (the parents) were born c1865 and 1863 respectively. Is there a way of searching to see when the marriage would have taken place? I am guessing that if they married when they were 16 the year of marriage would have been 1880; and if they married when they were 21, the year of marriage would have been 1885. As the eldest child was born in Scotland, I think that maybe the marriage took place there. Any help is appreciated! Regards Rachel

I did delete the other thread after i had checked and thanked the person for looking. the marriage that was found had taken place in Liverpool; and the parents names' were not right. So, I am still looking for a marriage in Scotland between Mary and Thomas. Regards Rachel
