You need the date of death and then you can ask for a search of the Probate Registry. There are posts on here about it somewhere. Try searching wills or probate. I sent a copy of the death certificate to be helpful, but you don't have to. I think it was £5 or around that!

Could someone please let me know the address I have to write to to get a copy of an old will and what details I have to send them. I did have the info but my computer got wiped when I had a virus. And do you know what info I have to send and how much, I suppose if you had the website it would be handy think they are in York :-(( Thankyou :-) Maggie
