Jack T Well, if you do live next door to me, you don't seem terribly interested in family history, because your eyed glaze over when I tell you that I have just discovered that my umpty times grandfather was a miller. OC |

Clive I have remembered that there is a useful thread on here about Tribal Pages, but the search facility isn't working for me at the moment. It is called 'Over the moon with Tribal Pages'. OC |

Clive Sorry - have only jiust arrived! you can do three things: Leave your tree completely open, with no password and then everyone can see your tree, but only in a brief outline version - no notes etc You can give it one password, which means that the above still applies, but only people who have the password can view the detailed tree. They cannot alter it. You can give it two passwords, the second one being an EDIT password, which means that the viewer can edit any information. You will naturally, have to have this password so that you, the editor, can work on your tree. As far as my tree goes, only I have the edit password. OC |

If you password it would you let me still view it,? I have a feeling already that I might have one of yours in my family...it would be great to try at lest to support each other....Lol.....Lilly |

OC two questions regarding the http://sweffling.tribalpages(.)com/ page. You have talked of passwords for visitors. Am I correct to think if passwords are set up only those with a password can see anything? You talked of making it possible for others to do edits - how do I arrange that, obviously I would want it password protected. I have to admit to some surprise that email addresses entered into the guest book are there for the world to see. Clive |
