Hi Kath, thanks for that, I have access to a lot of Parish records and have found a few of my family, the others must have married in the registry office because cannot find all family members in these Parish records that go back to 1700's Thanks again Tox

I would imagine since the inception of the General Registry Office. Latter part of 1837....... Reg

I think that's right Kath...although I don't know for sure without searching on Google. I have a cert for a Registry Office marriage in 1845. Gwyn

I'm not certain but I think they have been around since the start of registration in 1837. Someone else might know for certain though. Kath. x
