Their daughter was Amelia Ann Stafford born 09/03/1874 in Mile End, 5 Fair Street. John Staffords address at time of marriage was 13 Green St? Amelia Hewitts address was 5 Gales Gardens. They were married Dec 1870 in the Parish of Bethnal Green. I have Amelias mother and siblings on the 1851 census in the Parish of St George in the East. Karen |

Maybe mistranscribed or even not indexed .I cant find a rellie ether on the 1871 that married in 1870 have tried looking at the address when married, at their address on sons birth cert of Oct 1870 and the address they lived at when their daughter was born in late 1871, nothing. My grandfather wasnt showing on the 1901 but a relation trawled around the streets of East London and finally found them on a census page, clearly written, no spelling mistakes .so seems they weren't indexed. Its very frustrating. Shirley |

Can anyone tell me the reasons why a couple that married 1870 cannot be found on the 1871 census. |
