At Coalville there is the Snibson discovery park that contains the restored buildings of a colliery. I think that this is Snibson collery that closed in the early 1980,s. It is in Ashby Road Coalville. They have a gallery about the history of coal mining in that area. They can be contacted on phone number 01530 510851. www.leics.gov.uk This might be some help in tracking down some records. Regards Andrew. |
