I have established that my great grandfather, I H Azulay, was a Victorian photographer. He had premises at 22 Tottenham Court Road, 133 Brompton Road (Brompton School of Photography), 492 New Oxford Street. Can anyone suggest sources of how I can try and establish when he was in occupation at these premises, and possible any other details.

You could look at the historicaldirectories website. He would hopefully be listed in a Trade Directory, and that would give you an idea of when he was at those addresses.

H Chris You might find this site useful - also you should find him in the census which will give his occupation. Remove brackets from address. http://www(.)photolondon.org.uk/directory.htm
