Rainford - o/w armstrong?

I received an email yesterday about the grave of my aunt. She never married, her death was registered as her birth name Rainford but may have changed her name by deed poll to Armstrong. Can someone explain what this means please. Florence Rainford - o/w armstrong . This may well be obvious but what does o/w mean?
