On the Ancestry index there is a THOMAS AMBROSE LUVATE, born July quarter 1868, Preston, Lancs. There are quite a few other Luvates born in the 1850's and 60's in Preston, Lancs. Could these be the siblings? There is also a THOMAS AMBROSE LUVATT, born April quarter, Fylde, Lancs. You could try alternative spellings of the surname:eg. LOVATT; LEVETT; LEVITT.

Thanks..yes i have tried lancashire bmd but no luck it only mentions him on ancestry 1891 census.. Thanks

Hi--have you tried the Lancashire BMDs site? Not sure of the web address but you can find it via Google.Look for that or Lancashire Genealogy will get you there. I have found several births & marriages on there and there are instructions for sending for certifiactes-cost £7 Hope this helps Eileen

Ive got an Ambrose Luvate born 1856 Preston Lancashire,got him on the 1891 census,but i cant seem to find where i can order his birth certificate.HELP. Diane
