Hot matches filter

Hi I hope someone can advise me whether or not I can filter out a name on my tree from the hot matches! I have a John Smith in my tree that I'm not researching at the moment, but as you can imagine I get loads and loads of hot matches because of it. Is there any way to filter his name out, other than removing it from my tree? Thank you. Di

A full stop in the name: John S.mith (or an underscore: John S_mith) will stop all the silly non-matches, but the name is still perfectly legible.
