After the thread about Nellie (I also have one in my Tree - different Census refer to her as Nellie or Ellen) I thought I'd ask about the name Beatty. It's the name of a male family member on my Tree in the late 1800's. I found him on 2 Census' then he disappears altogether! I've found the birth on BMD as BEATTY so it must be his proper name. I wonder if he subsequently called himself something else later in life - any suggestions? It's quite an unusual name I think, particularly for a boy?! |
