Can you advise me with my search for a cousin. Her Dad (my uncle) never married her mother, but lived together. I have the street that they lived on in the early 1960's I never knew this part of my family but know that my uncle died back in the 1970s His name was Thomas Hawkins (I belive he was know as Harry), and his partner was Daisy ? They lived on staghill rd, henden walsall. As I live in gloucestershire so am unable to look at the Gores directories for futher details. Any advice/help ? Thankyou Regards Sharon

Hello Sharon, Don't know whether this suggestion may help you. I would first try to find out exactly when and where my Uncle died. Then perhaps order a copy of the death certificate. If you are lucky, if he were still living with his partner, she might be listed as the informant of his death. From there, and with lots of patience and detective work, I would then have a look on the birth records (you'll have to be patient), to see whether you could find a listing for a child born to the mother. Shouldn't be too problematic if you know your cousins name, and a rough year of birth. You'll be able to look through the Ancestry BMD records free of charge. Good luck.

Thanks for you surgestions David. I do have my uncle death cert but he died in hospital so this does not show his partner as informant. This also shows a different address then the one i have given. Thankyou anyhow for your ideas. Sharon
