Help. I haven't been doing this long and I do not understand. I have located, I think, my grandmother on the 1901 census. The actual image only has her and her brother as the top two, could there be more on the previous page ? How do I find out or view this ? Also, when I viewed 'everybody living with Mary Bright' It says at the top 'These are the details for all individuals who lived with Mary Bright from 1896 to 1898 on the night of the census' What has 1896 to 1898 got to do with it ? I thought the census was 1901 ?? Argh !!!!!!!

Sorry, I think I am being stupid now ! I cant see any arrows ! I'm looking at the image using a GR search. Come to think of it, I cant see any page number either !!! Double Aaaargh !!!!!

You are being very kind to one who is being so stupid ! Its ok, I dont think I need to have the census searched again cos I clicked on 'View others living with Mary Bright' and it listed her parents, siblings and an aunt and uncle. What I am really not understanding now is the fact that it states that these were people living with her from 1896 to 1898, when it is the 1901 census ! Surely it should tell us who was living with her in 1901 !!!! And what about the ages quoted. Were they that age in 1901 or somewhere between 1896 to 1898. HELP !

Sorry, ok. My grandmother is Mary Bright aged 4, civil parish Lambeth, address 2 Saunders Street. I'm really interested to confirm her DoB as another member has her DoB as 1897 but, according to the copy marriage cert I have, she was 22 in 1915 making her DoB about 1893. I am pretty certain that this is her as her mother was Irish and her father was John.

Patricia I think because Mary & her sister Emily are the only siblings on the second page of the census, it is saying her family members born between 1896-1898 because the rest of the family are on a seperate page. I dont really know how Genes census's work.
