does any know if there was a bulcote lane adjacent to the river devon and perhaps an army encampment close by ?. ed.

Hi, I do not know about 1914, but the river devon runs along side a park called Sconce hills. The sconce in this park is an old English civil war battlement site. Julie

Hi I have just done a google and yes the military was based there in both World wars. www.sconceanddevonpark.org
