Still in Westleton in 1881. I searched for Charles with Sweffling in Keywords, no other fields filled in and he popped up at top of list. Occupation Painter and Glazier. No children at home this time. |

1871 they were in Westleton - (Catermole with one t) with Henry 10 and Mary A 17 Charles' occupation Painter Oops, Moggie beat me to it while I was typing. |

Hi Clive In 1861 he is down as Charles Catamole living in Leiston Suffolk In 1871 he is down as Charles Catermole living in Westleton Suffolk. Still looking for him in 1881. Maureen |

I have my doubts about that Suffolk lot, really I do! Charles Cattermole b.1825, who was baptised 1827 in Sweffling. Charles married Amelia Buckingham 31/10/1850 in Sweffling 1 daughter listed - Mary Amelia Cattermole b 1853 (Sweffling or Badingham?). Mary Amelia married Louis Baggott, b. 1852 Middleton but Charles and family are there on 1851 census and Charles and Amelia are there in 1891. I know the census says he was a hawker but where was he in between? Typical of those Suffolk people (tut, tut) Amelia appears to have had a son Wiliam (also missing) some 3 years before marrying Charles. Clive |
