I have been trying to find my Uncle Ron's last resting place. He died in Greenwich in 1983 but I can find no record of his burial/cremation in the locality. Has anyone any ideas of how I could trace him? Chris.

Did he die where he was born? If not, perhaps his remains were taken to his birthplace........ Have you tried asking the local undertakers? Or the local newspaper.........if the death was announced, there will probably be funeral details. Reg

did he live in Greenwich. If so try the Parks & Cemeteries dept of Greenwich Borough Council they are very helpful , you should give them all the info including the actual death date. If he was buried in a municipal cemetary they will have the record. Shirley PS The Greenwich reg district covers a wide area so he may have been buried in a local cemetary to his home address. My Sis & Bil lived Plumstead. their deaths are reg Greenwich but they are buried in local Council run Cemetery in Plumstead
