Printing List of relatives from this site

Click on My Relations. Sort the names into the order you want. Start highlighting at the first name, then drag the mouse along the row towards the right, and stop at the end of Y.O.B. Then instead of carrying on towards the right, drag the mouse down to the end of the page. You can then copy the page and paste it into Word. You can only copy a page at a time that way, so it's much quicker to print off what you want from PAF.

OK I tried highlighting and copying/pasting but it was all confused by the two boxes to the right of each name - which then fill up with a heap of blue text. Exporting the tree to PAF might be an option. I keep my main file on PAF - with all the details - but at least I could print out the list of names from there - just seems such a longwinded way of doing things ... Otherwise, I will just do it manually - I keep all of them on an Excel spreadsheet - and it's that I want to double-check - just to make sure I've not missed anyone as I think I've put some onto the PAF file and some on here and not on both! Menopausal moment there and it's thrown my system into chaos! Thanks very much for help and suggestions though - worth trying. Jill

I can't see any reason why you can't copy-paste the information into Word - it's a bit long-winded, but it works fine. Just highlight the names you're interested in and paste them - you obviously don't want all the other stuff on the page. A much better option is to export your tree as a gedcom and import it into a family tree program. There's a free one called PAF on the familysearch site.

Yes, you used to be able to print off a very handy list of everyone on your tree, in alaphabetical order, but that facility has been removed from the site, for unknown reasons. I have photocopied the last list I printed off, several times, but it is now tatty beyond redemption. Shame - it was the one REALLY USEFUL feature of this site, for me! OC

I'm sure I printed them out once - I'm sure it was simple - but no. It's being a pain in the proverbial. All I want is a list of relatives by surname order - just to check - as I am having a tidy up. I've gone into My Relatives and sorted by surname. There are nearly 40 pages. It won't let me copy and paste the info into Word. It tells me I have insufficient memory!! If I shrink the page to fit it's down to 60% - which is weeny on the page - and I get all the junk around the edges from that page!! and I don't want 37 pages like that! Going mad here - thought it would be easy - pah! Any ideas? Jill
