Is there any way of tracing a child maintenance order from the early 1920's? One of my rellies was illegitimate to a daughter of a farm worker, but went to a private school, and she believes this was paid for by her unknown father. She would now like to know more, but I have no idea where to start. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Sounds to me like a private arrangement - no doubt with a condition of secrecy involved and in those days such conditions were observed. I doubt whether the school, even if it has a record, would reveal who paid the fees. Clive |

Is the school still around? Perhaps you could enquire there if it is, he probably paid the fees direct to them, so they may have a name on their records. |
