Can anyone tell me how much £10 given as a wedding present in 1913 would be worth today please?, it was given to my grandparents from the family my grandmother was in service with. Thanks. Jenny

Just looked and it was my fist amout of £100 so £10 is worth £570.60, still not bad though is it?. Jenny

A very generous present then old crone?, I found out yesterday her employer was Arthur Reed Ropes who was a famous lyracist and went under the name of Adrian Ross so he could well afford it. Jenny

Jenny Yes, very generous, far better than the Bible most girls got from their employers! And a lot more useful! OC
