Hi, can anyone help me on an adoption. The birth mother is dead but his brother is desperatley trying to find him. His birth name is Paul Victor Eustace, born 06-01-1966 but when adopted was named Warren Paul ?? He was born in Birmingham. The hearing was held before juvenile court sitting at Steelhouse Lane. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Jo

Hi Joanna As you know the adoptive name you will be able to find him listed in the Adopted Children Register. I have copied and pasted part of my reply to recent adoption post. Hope this helps. ***After an adoption has been passed in the court the child's name is placed on the Adopted Children Register (ACR) in their adoptive names. The ACR register cannot be accessed, however, the index of the ACR can be viewed at the Family Records Centre in London (you cannot access it anywhere else) you have to physically go to London and view it it the public viewing room. The information on it is limited*** I understand that adoptions after 1969 are now on computer at the FRC. If you find a match then you can apply for his 'Adoption Certificate' This will give you the address of the the adoptive parents at the time of his adoption. There is heaps of information on adoption, type in adoption, adopted in the 'enter text' it'll keep you going for days :-) Good luck with your search. Cheers Gerry
