Sorry for the time lapse - I was just typing the second part when everything went mad here! Edward Buckley NEWTON married Sophia E ??. On the 1881 England census she is down as having been born in Ireland. Edward and Sophia had a son, Edward Buckley Newton, in March qr 1881, and probably a daughter Nora Margaretta in 1882. There are no records of a marriage in England. Could anyone tell me whether it would be possible to find a marriage (if it existed) in Ireland? I'm totally clueless about Irish research, other than knowing it is difficult!
