Suggestions re Lithuanian Ancestors

Hello there all you lovely people, Can anybody recommend a way of getting further on my maternal family side. The name I am stuck with is Waisnys/Waisnis/Wiseness. I believe it is of Lithuanian origin but cannot get any further than that. Have info and details from 1871 onwards. Marriage cert for Henry Waisnis suggests father's name is John Waisnis but can't find anything on any of those pre 1871. Henry doesn't appear on 1871 cert, year he got married and was a mariner. An address I had from his wedding cert was a boarding address. So I am well and truly stuck. Any suggestions would be welcome! Thank you, Lym x
