From the Find My Past ( formerly 1837 online) website: Findmypast.com is based in London, England and is part of Title Research Group and a sister company to Title Research an independent business which has existed for over 40 years providing genealogical research services to lawyers and corporate and public trustees around the world. Title Research provides a range of services endorsed by The Law Society of England & Wales and is also certified by the British Standards Institute as an Investor in People, with the total quality standard BS EN ISO 9001-2000 and with the standard for the secure management of information BS 7799 -2:2002. As part of its day-to-day work, Title Research used to consult the microfiche version of the birth, marriage and death indexes extensively and then took the decision to make them available on the Internet and findmypast.com (formerly 1837online) was set up to do this. There is more info if you look at their website. On the home page click on Help and then there is a About Us' section. Maureen |

Not heard of any connection but you never know. Strange thing is that you can find some census entries on Findmypast that are not available on Ancestry - even using the full reference Maureen |
