I am trying to find details of one of my partners ancestors. We can not locate his birth records in Scotland and believe he may have been born in Ireland. The problem is I do not know where in Ireland so don't know where to start my research. Does anyone have any tips on how to find out more about this. I would be looking for birth records from 1750s. Any help would be great.
