Dell Computers said that due to customer demand you can buy Dell with XP. The main point is that many programmes will not work on Vista so your printer, scanner, perhaps your internet connection, will all give up. Clive |

I have recently obtained a Vista Computer and AVG works with no problem. It is my understanding XP is available until the end of the year, just look at some of the online computer sellers. Steve |

I couldnt get AGV or Zone alarm ;;; I had to have Norton on 3 months trial, as they have the monoply on Vista ;; after that you can change and Zone alarm have notified me today that they now have a patch to get onto Vista ;;; Babs |

If she is buying a new PC she will have no choice but to have vista. And yes, I am sure you can still download AVG. I have found vista to be very good so far despite my misgivings at not being able to get XP. ann Glos |

Please can anyone tell me if you can have AVG also/or Zone alarm if you have Windows Vista? Your views please as myself and my Niece are pooter idiots. My excuse is i'm old. She has no excuse lol Silly girl is asking me advice on buying a new PC from PC World. Thanks in advance Gerri. |
