I thought that might be the case - I did think about copying Hugh Wallis' List for the areas I'm interested in but I believe that's not up to date now is it? Though I suppose it would be starting point. Thanks any way Reg Sue Hi again Reg seems to have deleted his answer while I was typing in case you think I've lost the plot completely! Thanks for the Family Search Tip I couldn't find that before - will go and look now!

Go to the IGI site, then select the Library Tab, and click on Family History Library Catalog If you then do a place search it will tell you what records are held. Some parish registers are not actually on line, though. You can however order a microfilm and then go and view at your nearest FH Centre. I would add that Hugh Wallis lists those that are on line. If it is not on his list, it could still be on film.

Hugh Wallis has compiled lists by county of the parishes included in the IGI. Dates covered are also shown. See: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb*com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers/CountyLondon_including_Middlesex_(A-M).htm There is also a list available online which has all the parishes and their date of formation. http://homepages.rootsweb*com/~bpefisk/fh/Middx/index.html (You'll need to replace the * with dot . ) Pete

Is there a list anywhere of the parishes not covered by IGI? Or failing that a list of parishes that ARE covered! Trying to find some elusive names in London and am hoping to eliminate IGI parishes before heading off to LMA to hunt thru' those that are left and a printed list to refer to would be most useful! Cheers, Sue
