Karen, the one that Sharon found is also on the collectionscanada site under Immigration 1925-1935. There are 3 Barbers on the ship, all English. There's James 38, James Albert 37 and Mary 34. Update, oops just realized they don't match the birthdate of 1887. |

Hve you tried ' the olive tree genealogy canadian bmd. If you type just that into google and then click on the link it will take you to the site which has thousands of links for finding relatives in Canada, i did a quick search on a free passenger lists link and it came up with this. Immigration Records (1925-1935) Surname: Barber Given name: James Age: 38 Sex: M Nationality: En Date of arrival: 1929/04/21 (YYYY/MM/DD) Port of arrival: Halifax , Nova Scotia Ship: CEDRIC , White Star Reference: RG76 - IMMIGRATION, series C-1-b Volume: 1929 volume 9 Page: 85 Microfilm reel: T-14820 I'm not saying this is your James but the site may be a good place to start. There are tons of links on there so you have to look pretty hard tofind what you want but it is a great site. |

Any suggestions where I can go to find out more about a relative that emigrated to Canada? His name is James Barber and was born c1887 in Chedburgh, Suffolk. Thank you. |
