Does anyone know what the term 'stand bound' means when used in a will? The clause reads: 'My meadow ground aforesaid shall be charged and stand bound for the payment of the aforesaid sum of sixty pounds'. :-) Richard

Hi, see below:- Stand as in remain still.....not capable of being moved. Bound as in attached to a debt, secured, mortgaged Basically , you cannot do anything with this land until you pay me £ 60.00 then it will be released as normal. Hope this helps Lulli
