Many thanks for giving what I suspected. The only way to totally confirm it would be to order it and pray Henry C & Herbert C didn`t both have the same father! Thanks again Neil |

Jeanette I have seen entries typed up that say, eg,Henry C (or) Herbert C, when the transcriber could not read the text and was unsure as you said earlier it is a seperate entry so i think it could be as scarlet Ribbons said. Roy |

Odd innit! lol Just thinking aloud.....the image is a typed one so I am assuming that they would have been transcribed from the original which would have been handwritten. Perhaps the person typing up the entries couldn't work out if it said Henry or Herbert. Where transcriptions are concerned there is always the possibility of human error???? |

It ooks as though he gave his name as Henry, then remebered his proper name was Herbert. My fathers death is registered twice, once with the names he used, and directly underneath again in what was his proper given name. ( he used a different second name) |

Apr qtr 1913 marriages shows: PARFREMENT: Henry C. marrying:Norris at:Kings Lynn 4b 580 Herbert C. marrying:Norris at:Kings Lynn 4b 580 Why the two different names? Is the original entry too difficult to read so they`ve come up with two alternatives? Any suggestions? Thanks Neil |
