Hello, I have spent the afternoon trying to find the service record of my Grandfather William Edward Bailey who was in the Army (?). I have his service number and on this marriage lines in1918 he was in the 3rd Reserve (London) I am really lost,it all looks like a mine-field. ( no pun intended ) Regards Sheila |

Have you tried nationalarchives.gov.uk Medal Cards for WW1 comes up with 2 Medal cards:- Bailey, William Edward Corps: South Staffordshire Regiment Regiment No: 26713 Rank: Private... Bailey, William Edward Corps: Royal Garrison Artillery Rank: Second Lieutenant Jennifer |
