I am also having trouble finding my Great Grandmother Maud Isabella Griffiths born between 18/8/1895 and 17/8/1896 married Leslie Albert Bowles 17/8/1919 Bermondsey. Whom i am also having trouble finding!!!! Can anyone help please? Nicky

Reg Leslie Albert Bowles father was William John Bowles he was a platelayer at the time of their marriage. Maud Isabella's father was Henry Arthur Griffiths he was a leather worker at the time of their marriage. Are you related to these people? Nicky

We know about William Albert Bowles (and indeed his parents and grandparents) - its with Maud Isabella Griffiths that we're getting stuck - beyond her father being Henry Arthur Griffiths (from teh marriage cert) The Harry / Henry thing bugs me.....like i've said on another post tonight - never assume!
