Can anyone recommend a programme I can download or buy that I could use to build my tree. I already have it on here but would like one I could work on off line.

PAF.....free from the LDS site. Easy to operate, and much more flexible than the one on GR. Reg

Thank you Reggie. I have made a note and will look it up now. Thanks again for responding so quickly. Di

You can download Legacy for free. You can also buy Family Tree Maker (which is what most people on here seem to use, me included) for less than a tenner. Sam x

It is another Family History programme that allows you to build your tree offline. I have used it and it is fine. As you don't have to pay for Legacy or PAF, you could try them both and decide which you would rather keep later. That's what I did with Family Tree Maker and Legacy, ran them both for a while until I decided I prefered FTM. http://www.legacyfamilytree(.)com/ (remove brackets first) Sam x

Sam Thanks I will try both as you suggested. Will have a look at PAF too. Di
