twice on here in the last couple of months there has been a thread about a link on GR to a page of good links. Please can anyone either tell me where the link is or nudge the original thread (or even better - do both!) Clive |

Morning Clive Bookmarking a thread just means adding a reply to it so that you can easily find it in 'Your Threads Only' Angela |

Thank you all - super response. Next Tuesday I am to start at one of the local Age Concern places on Genealogy. I know how I have done my work but it may not be the best so am scratching around for what else might be found. I have not actually used the local library because the county archives are not too far away from I live. Looks like I must learn quickly! Clive |

Bookmarking is where you save a page to your favourites. If you go to the bar at the top of the page and click favourites, select 'add to favourites' and then name the page something meaningful so you'll know what it is when you're looking in your favourites for it in future. Using 'organise favourites' you can create & name folders to put different links in to keep things tidier. |

Hi Clive, I'll bet that 'Family Tree Forum' arent on that list www*familytreeforum*co*uk As usual replace * with dots We are nearly yr old, and have recently developed our reference library, (which is wiki based) and is seperate from the main forum. (in order to post you will need to register) we can offer quite alot of info, even if you are a beginner, more experienced or even advanced, have a look here and see, this is just an example of the sort of stuff you can find within our Reference Library (Wiki) http://www*genealogistsxgr*co*uk/wiki/index.php/Creating_Your_Family_Tree Kind regards Julie |

And don't forget the good old LDS - invaluable for searching primary church registers at a distance, by using your local, and free, LDS family history centre. OC |
