My Great Uncle served in the second world war on HMS Lochinvar that's all I know. Where is the best place to find out more? Nicky

Hi Nicola I tracked dowm my dads war records 3yrs ago but he was in the army you need to know his service No & rank the number to try is a Glasgow 0141 224 2023 or 0141 224 3303 they should be able to give you the Navy records office. It will cost you a few £s yo get a copy of the records. Clive

You will need to be some close form of Next of Kin to get the service record. Keith

He had no children, none of his siblings are still alive, so my mum, his niece, and myself, his great-niece, are going to be his next of kin I think.....
