Could you translate the following:- Melaragno Monteiro. lui tirelle. fala. Aluizio Vincente. I believe that at least one is a name (shame on me) I don't know whether it's male or female. Any help much appreciated. Thanks, M. Steer

Hi Margaret, Monteiro and Vincente are definitely names but the only other word I can translate is :- fala which is speaks. I don't think that lui tirelle are Portugese words but I could be wrong. Where have you got the text from? Sorry not to be able to help any more than that. Christine

I have googled the words: Fala - babble Melaragno Monteiro - are both names seemed to be used as surnames. Melaragno Italian: unexplained. Monteiro Portuguese and Galician: occupational name for a hunter, moneiro. This name is also found in western India, where it was taken by Portuguese colonists. There are a few language translation websites if you do a google search. Hope that helps!
