download gedcom help please

Sorry to be thick but i am trying to download my GR tree gedcom to FTM 2006 have got as far as file open following the instructions and am stuck thanks Valxxx

Researching:
Staffordshire, Lancaster, wimbledon, Darby and roscommon Ireland

don't quite understand th equestion. The steps to take are 1. Download from GR your GED file - it will ask where you want to put it. 2. open your family tree programme 3. Click on File > Import (GED) > locate downloaded GED file > OK 4. Save That will get you a copy in your tree programme format before you start to play with with your new tree. You can always close without saving changes if you mess up! Clive
